Our goal: at Kids on the Loose (KOTL) is to provide our day campers (4-6 years old) with a safe and enjoyable camp experience where they can develop skills, form friendships and enhance self esteem.

Our staff: All our staff members are hired based on their experience and enthusiasm, are at least 18 years of age or older. Most are college students or teachers. All staff members are certified in first aid and CPR and have been through background checks, including police checks. All staff members attend an intensive training course before camp begins.

Staff to Camper Ratios: For school-age children, our camps maintain between 1:10 and 1:15 ratio. The provincial standards are 1:18 so KOTL provides more individualized attention with lower ratios. Preschool camps maintain a 1:10 ratio.

GENERAL CAMP INFORMATION (Preschool ages 4-6)

• Children will receive an hour and a half of free play on the equipment daily (30 mins at time of arrival, 30 mins after lunch, and 30 mins before the end of the day)
• Children will receive 30 mins to eat lunch which will be PEANUT free and brought from home there will be two snack breaks through out the day (15 min each, campers are to bring one of these snacks from home)
• Camp starts at 9am and ends at 5pm
• Extended camp hours run from 8-9am and or 5-6pm for an extra fee (This will allow the child extra time on the play equipment while supervised) –7$ per hour (i.e. 8-9am and 5-6pm @ cost of 14$ per day) This fee is conditional offer that you can register for on a day to day basis
• $7 late fees automatically apply if you are 15 minutes late picking up your child
• Each week will follow a different theme, children are encouraged to come dressed in theme (permitted the dress is moveable for the activities children will be doing)
• Campers will explore weekly themes through crafts, songs, movement, and play

Have a whale of a time discovering the mysteries of the sea through arts, crafts, stories, songs, games, and water play.

July 7-11
It’s Magic
Magical journey of perfecting tricks, completing their own magician’s outfit and ending the week with the grand finale – a magic show of their own making to delight the parents!

Munchkin Madness
Preschoolers will love this camp that allows them express themselves through the art of dance, tumbling and creative play while developing self esteem, social skills and independence.

July 14-18
Art...Art...Art
Art, Art, Art is a fun, unique and confidence-building arts and crafts program for preschoolers. We provide our campers with the opportunity to have art in their lives, increase their skills and knowledge through both taught and self-chosen, independent opportunities to explore with paint, paper, play dough/clay art, drawing tools and found materials.

Holiday Mix Up
Happy Christmas! Merry Valentine’s Day! We’ve got our holidays all mixed up. At this fun camp we’ll make summer snowflakes, sing crazy songs, and even go trick or treating!

July 21–25
It’s a Jungle Out There
Join our jungle exploration as we crouch, leap, and stampede our way through the week! The exploring is never ending and the fun everlasting as we experience animal games, develop animal crafts, storytelling, songs and more!

Dinosaurs
Watch your child learn about dinosaurs through science activities, crafts and real archaeological activities!

Treasure Quest
Gather the crew, hoist the anchor and take to the seas with us! This treasure camp will be filled with scavenger hunts, unsolved mysteries and deserted islands. Join us in this exciting adventure.

Each day is a new time generation, children come dressed and ready to participate in that time period, through craft, art, drama, and music

Mad Scientists
This week is all about discovery as we reveal the science behind life. From astronomy to zoology each day of this exciting week gives you the opportunity to be a scientist in a different field. Games, activities, creations, adventures and more keep your creativity going; imagine the possibilities!

CAMP DATES & FEE SCHEDULE

After hours program: Available 8-9am and/or 5-6pm daily | fees based on full week, no daily rates available.

Multiple camper discounts: Discounts may be applied to the registration of second and subsequent children from the same family. $10 off every 2+ children per session to a maximum of 3 sessions. Offer only available at time of registration and cannot be combined with any other offer.
